Carol Humphries Drummond, a former Bulldog track member, broke the school record for the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 59.53. She was a qualifier at the 1980 and 1981 National AIAW meet where she earned all-America honors with a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles. Drummond also participated on the Bulldog's 4x100-relay team at the 1981 AIAW Championships. In 1980 and 1981, she was the winner of the 100- and 200-meter hurdles at the Missouri AIAW championships. Drummond was on the 1994 Summer Biathlon bronze medal relay team at the first World Championships in the Czech Republic. A year later, she finished seventh in two races at the World Biathlon Championships in Poland. She also competed in the 1996 and 1997 World Championships.
